We spent a whole week in Houston at the Stock Show. Our hotel was a short walk from the barn. It was perfect.
When the kids had their duties done, we walked back to the hotel and tried to swim. The water was too cold and the temperature wasn't very warm either. So we improvised...
Now THAT's a full bath tub!
Reagyn bought herself a new hat. :)
Later in the week it was warm enough for the kids to try swimming again.
On show day, I had Reagyn use my phone to take pics...here's what I got.
That silly girl! Good thing I used Nikki's camera to take the REAL show shots.
Karson and Whitey placed 7th and made the sale...he's SMILING and pointing to the brand.
I love this picture! Notice the blue shirt this time. We decided the pink one he wore to the last 2 shows was cursed. ;)
One evening we went to the Galleria to go ice skating. Karson was having NONE of that. He didn't even try. He found himself a frozen drink and was perfectly happy.
Reagyn and Brook had a blast!
The next day we drove to see the San Jacinto Monument. Wow! That elevator ride was fun. It went so fast and up so high!
Then we toured the Battleship Texas.
The kids got to sit in the seat of the guns and pretend to shoot. We saw where the sailors slept, ate, cooked, etc. Plus it was located in the Houston ship channel where we saw barges and tug boats. It was all neat to see.
We also went to the rodeo and ended up seeing Blake Shelton in concert. We had a great time.
Besides all the things we did, I managed to read 3 books and relax some too. It was a great family trip!
