San Antonio Stock Show

San Antonio was warm.  It was nice weather while we were there.  In fact while Karson showed, I actually broke a sweat!  There was no air moving in the barn where the ring was.  Karson was red-faced with wet hair -- he was kinda fighting with Smoke and I'm sure hot too.  We were classed out of the breed we wanted to show Smoke in, so he showed in the American Breed Cross middle weight class.  He basically made a round and walked out.  But I felt it was a major success.  There was no repeat of Fort Worth!  Smoke acted nicely and Karson handled him very well.  No major problems.  Smoke did jump up on the steer in front of them, but Karson just held on and got him back into place.  He did a great job!

Miss Reagyn did not go on this trip.  We left her with Nana and Papoo.  She was soooo bored and tired and hungry and her feet hurt at Fort Worth.  I thought it would be better for all of us for her to stay home.  She was a little hurt, but once we were gone she was fine.  Next stop is Houston!  We will be spending our Spring Break there.  Hopefully we will have better luck.
